how are the rooms at MMI? Are there two to three bunk beds, plus desks in each room? Are there toilets in each room? Are the showers communal? Completely open for men and same for women, or with dividers to make "stalls"?

I also saw posts of the QM being renovated, will that have any effect on living conditions? Just curious, thanks.

Our DS attended MMI through the SAP program last year.....currently in basic training at USAFA, so I'll try my best to answer. Pretty sure all rooms are just 2 cadets, bunk beds, 2 desks and a sink/mirror in each room. Closet area and shelves are open. Each cadet gets a trunk with a lock during Inprocessing. He brought a fan due to heat but never used it bc AC was on and dorms were chilly. MMI provides sheets/ blanket but everyone sleeps on top , so bring a blanket with you. Think showers are private with curtains but not sure. QM is away from dorms in separate building. Looks like a lot of work being done and great improvements! Btw.....DS is extremely grateful now in his BCT for having been at MMI!! Best to you!

This helped a lot, thank you! I went on the appointee tour this past spring for USAFA...it's truly amazing and I hope your DD is doing well! I appreciate the advice and the encouragement.
