Congratulations to all parents of Class of 2018 cadets & midshipmen as we head into grad week. It has been quite the roller coaster ride over these past 4+ years. Thank you all for being there with me. Forum members have answered many of my questions, provided support and calmed the nerves/anxiety, and for that I am thankful. It's hard to explain to someone outside this experience what the entire process entails, from application/nomination to appointment to each unique year & experience our sons and daughters may have at the academy. Through it all, there have been lots of smiles, some tears, some things unexpected, but mostly of lot of proud and WOW moments. So congratulations to the parents of the soon to be military officers of USMA, USNA, USAFA, USCGA and USMMA. Congratulations especially to your sons and daughters as they start the next chapter of their lives.
