Hello,
I've seen people mentioning the competitiveness of a district quite often on this forum and I was curious if there was a way I could determine how competitive my district is?

Maybe reach out yo your MOC liaison asking how many applicants.

There is no way to tell how competitive a district is in real time without an SA rep or MOC staffer giving you that information. It can change each year for any given district. You can find historical information, usually sporadic or out of date. The attached file has nominations for each SA over four years for every district, but it is getting dated and some areas have gone through redistricting - it is sorted by MOC name, so it is easiest to find the name of the MOC for the years for your district rather than trying to find a specific district number.

This document is great! I enjoy looking at stats so it was pretty fun. I have a question though- I noticed a lot of entries had ten or less. If I'm interpreting this correctly does that mean by virtue of applying most get a nomination? I thought it was the number of applicants for each rep spot but if the doc is representing something else please correct me.

  1. That is the number of nominations. 10 is the maximum number for any individual slate.
  2. If the number is 10, there were 10 or more applicants.
  3. If the number is more than 10, the MOC had more than one slate for that year at that SA.
  4. If the number is less than 10, there were fewer than 10 applicants.
