I completed my DODMERB several months ago and am preparing to begin school, as I was selected to receive a 3 year scholarship I had to complete a DODMERB to fully qualify. I was told by my ROO that I need to complete another medical examination with our university to be eligible to do PT and continue in the program, and I think I should use the opportunity to come clean.
When I first completed my DODMERB I withheld some medical information (Myoclonic seizure after 6th birthday, diagnosed with major depressive order, diagnosed with anxiety disorder, history of ocular disturbances, and poor depth perception), that by some miracle was never discovered. I didn't want to do this, but was pressured by my parents and JROTC instructors to do so. I'm confused as to why they are willing to have me lie and risk my health and the safety of myself and others just to put me in a uniform, but I digress.
I shouldn't have allowed myself to be pressured into this, and I want to do the right thing. Who should I notify of this, and how should I go about making this right?
