When is a good time to start getting in contact with your blue and gold officer? Should you wait till you actually start applying or should I start now? (Entering junior year so I will be a plying this up coming school year)

You should wait.. there is really no point contacting them now plus they will be really busy soon with rising seniors and current candidates. They won't really have time for you at this point (no offense)! Please feel free to PM about junior year though as I am a rising senior now!

Thanks! I just didn't know because I have read and heard about people you get in contact as soon they can. It didn't seem right but I thought I'd ask.

BGOs will meet with potential candidates before their senior year to help answer any questions they have about the Academy, Navy, application process, etc. So it you want to make contact to introduce yourself and ask questions, go ahead. :)

I agree with COmom. If they have time to meet with you or even chat on the phone, they will, otherwise they won't. But leave it up to them.

Also, keep you eyes open for Senate/Congressional Academy Days in your area. You can find out a lot more information and probably meet your BGO there as well.
