Good afternoon! This is my first post, but we have learned so much about USAFA from the boards. Question: After Parents' Weekend, do kids get to use their cell phones? Can they accept/make calls (texts) or are they given specific times? Thanks for the help.
(DS is from NJ-district 4)
 
As you'll come to hear often, it's all squadron dependent. My son had his phone permanently after Acceptance Day, but other squadrons didn't get there's permanently until after Recognition. Most of the time they'll at least have their phones on weekends, but even that is subject to change if they have been restricted. They will have their computers though, so email, Facebook, and Oovoo will be your friends.
 
The general trend this year was towards having it, however it was not uncommon for 4digs to loose their phone privileges in some cases.
