I am currently a candidate for USNA class of 2022. I was wondering if it would be bad to contact my MOC who nominated me to see if any of their nominees have been appointed yet.

To what purpose? Multiple candidates with noms from the same congressional district get appointments every year. Even if he had a nominee who had been appointed, it doesn't necessarily mean you will not get an appointment. Their appointment may be charged elsewhere.

Work plan B, C, D, and E. If those are in place go have fun and quit obsessing. You'll find out if you have an appointment (or not) soon enough.

I would NOT contact the MOC to ask that question. They can nominate 10 applicants for each opening, so regardless of their reply, it tells you nothing about your status and would simply be an awkward phone conversation. As mentioned above, where a NOM is issued, may NOT be where USNA eventually charges it.
