Hope you all are doing well,

I am a HS senior applying to USNA. I know an important part of the application is communication with my BGO, however I'm not sure where to find their contact information. If someone could help me out with this it would be much obliged. Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, BGOs have not been assigned to us yet. However, on my screen is says to not contact the BGO until they are assigned. I assume they do not want all of us sending emails to people that may or may not be our BGO. I think with the new portal system they are still trying to assign BGOs but I haven't gotten information either. It'll come soon I'm sure!

I haven’t been assigned any candidates yet. I think the new system has slowed things down. If you have some specific questions about your app reach out to the Area Coordinator and ask if you could speak to who they think will be your BGO. If it’s just to introduce yourself, hold tight. Hopefully we get our assignments soon. Eventually your portal will list your BGO. Good luck!

'Hoops is right..not assigned yet. If it can wait a week or so, please be patient. BGO assignments should be coming out soon...
I don't have anything urgent. To be honest I'm just feeling stressed about the whole process, and I want to make sure I'm on top of everything.

My son applied last year and is reapplying this year. I can say for certain, after watching him go through the process last year, it is important that you try to not allow the process cause stress. It is a very long application process and you do not want to be stressed all year. Be diligent and keep working on your application and make sure you meet deadlines. Best wishes!

Thank you for this. I'll keep it on my mind.

If you are currently a HS Senior, then do you plan to apply for Class of 2025 or wait for Class of 2026? Since I know that applications usually open January of your Junior year.

If you want to contact your BGO about the BGO interview, spend the time now to complete your package so you're ready to go with BGOs and candidates are finally linked. USNA will (if needed) move forward without the BGO interview. They will not move forward until every other item is complete. So focus on those now. If you have specific questions and want to ask your BGO, reach out through the Area Coordinator.
