Or it could be that Pelosi and her office care very little about Service Academy nominations, and do not run a program that makes it easy for applicants to submit a package, or when they do they just do not grant nominations. I can't believe that in an area with such rich Navy history that there aren't at least 10 qualified applicants each year.
There was a thread about historical MOC stats regarding nominations, and Pelosi was just about at the bottom for number of nominations issued. Nancy Pelosi had nominated a grand total of 15 candidates across USMA, USNA, USAFA over 4 years..... Average of 1.25 nominations per academy per year.....
