Yesterday:
"This evening, a large number of the former Iranian hostages are back at the Thayer Hotel, 30 years nearly to the day of their return from Tehran and initial reuniting with families at West Point. Tomorrow morning, the entire Corps will line Thayer Road from Mahan to the Library and cheer as the former hostages pass by- the same thing we did 30 years ago!"

I was a college student then, not much older than DS, and remember it well. Gosh, back in those Dark Ages, we had to depend on the 3 nightly newscasts and the newspaper for updates!
