Cortramid-2020 & USNA Summer Cruises - UNOFFICIALLY - Canceled

*UNOFFICIAL- Not confirmed* Some school chain of commands are informing their units today that Cortramid 2020 is going to be canceled. and that the Naval Academy called off all summer cruises for Summer 2020. I know that will not provide an ironclad confirmation that would be of course ideal, but just sharing data that multiple sources are all stating the same thing as of this morning.

DS said he got an email this morning that USNA summer cruises have been cancelled.

All MIDN have not been informed of USNA summer cruises being cancelled. Block 1 is cancelled. Strong suspicion Block 2 will be cancelled due to DoD travel ban.

There have been talks about giving waivers, not having to do them later due to the sheer number of people they'd have to fit in

my MID was formally informed today as well. hoping that they will be picked back up next summer

Section 3.Q. of NAVADMIN 116/20 released yesterday. All midshipman summer training cancelled except for OCS and SOAS. No official word that I've heard on 1/c cruise but likely waived for everyone that took a 2/c cruise last summer, and an academic year cruise for those who didn't.

My DD's unit relayed that 1/c may take place over the winter recess or next summer, prior to commissioning, but of course it is still anyone's guess. By this time next year I suppose they'll know!
