DS is currently at CORTRAMID East. He is at Norfolk now, and the food options at the chow hall seem to be good, although he is not super picky...the only issue my DS has is that the chow hall closes at 1730 and he is used to eating dinner later than that. He figured out that he can ask for a to go box and then just eat later. He is pretty frugal, so he doesn't want to spend a lot of his own money eating out. From what I have heard so far, he goes to the chow hall before muster in the morning and for lunch it usually depends on what they are doing that particular day. Yesterday, they went underway for the day, so they had lunch in the wardroom on the ship. Overall, there seems to be plenty of food and options for food. It all depends on how much money they want to spend. Obviously, once they head out to GA and NC it may be different.
