I wanted to confirm that the following additional costs are normal when looking at another university ROTC detachment but still attending original school (that has no ROTC):
- dual parking fees (if applicable)
- dual student fees
- hourly tuition costs will be based on ROTC hosting university (so can be higher).

Are there any additional fees/costs that need to be considered?

Thanks for your input.

Gas Money
Wear and tear on someones vehicle
Coffee because you have to get up earlier to make the commute

Check with the ROO at the school that has ROTC - If the two schools have a 'cross enrollment' agreement for ROTC there may be no tuition cost. Though, my DD's school gave no credit for ROTC classes even when enrolled for ROTC classes at the host school.

I have no idea what 'dual student fees' are... my former cadet did have to pay for parking occasionally and made the cadet that failed to pay the meter, pay for the parking ticket.

Edit: This was Army ROTC

Thanks for the information.
Hope the cadet learned the importance of paying the meter in time.

Student fees are the cost the universities tack on for setting foot on their campus to study - justified as paying for student rec area, campus shuttles etc.. These are beyond tuition costs and seem almost like an administration cost.

DS got the initial bill for signing up for AF ROTC (non scholarship) just wanted to make sure we understood fully the financial commitment ongoing.

Every school is different. This is a question for the Detachment.
