Six and a butt days until R-day 2007! How are my fellow c/o 2011 parents doing?

This usmaps c/o 2008 parent recommends buying stock in Wal-Mart. Maps requires cadet candidates to bring much of what WP furnishes. Oh, that reminds me that I need to buy a 'Robe, terry cloth, white' online because none of the local stores carry them.

Commissioner - I agree! Last year I helped third quarter profits for Walmart and Target. My son went to NMMI and the list of items to bring was long. Checking out in Walmart it looked like a snowstorm in my cart...6 white towels, 6 white washcloths, 12 pairs white boxers, 12 white t-shirts, 2 white pillowcases. That was just the first trip to the store!

When does USMAPS report?

All I know is that I'M PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!! :shake: :yay:  : :w00t: :beer1: :jump1: :muscles2:

Did I mention that I'm pumped???!!!:thumb:

Good Luck FutureWarrior!! Remember - the days are long but the weeks are short! Keep in touch when you can this fall and let us know how you are doing -

Thanks, will do. I just hope my mom will be ok. I'm the oldest, so this is a big first.

Our shopping cart looking like a coal mine in winter: white underwear and black towels/washcloths.

Only 5 days left!

Good luck futurewarrior - are your parents going with you or are you going alone?

I'm flying up with my parents and little brother on Saturday. We're flying into White Plains but are staying in Newburgh...don't ask me lol. Probably something to do with AirTran rates.

I'm sure it does have to do with the cost of the tickets. When I took my son to visit West Point we flew into Albany. We went from Seattle to Newark and then changed planes to fly to Albany. This was $80 per ticket cheaper than just flying Seattle to Newark! I thought about buying the tickets to Albany and then just getting off in Newark. I'm glad we went on to Albany, it's a small airport and a lot less traffic than Newark. Easy drive south to West Point.

My son is going it alone. Only 4 more days until he leaves. :frown:

:jaw:

Itinerary for the next 2 days is as follows:

Hang out with buddies from school :sadwavey:

Watch as much baseball as humanly possible :thumb:

Listen to as much Dave Matthews Band as humanly possible :band:

Hug the fat cat

Play with the happy dog :shake:

Get through airport security in less than 21.2967 minutes :rant2:

Yup...that should do it.

OH!! Almost forgot...gotta pack.
