Course Validation/ AP tests

i was recently on this website

i was just confused about where it said "No validation tests are administered during plebe summer" under the division of engineering and weapons. I was going to major in engineering, and i got a 5 on the calculus ab test. If one was to major in engineering, don't they still have to take the same math classes as someone else who was going to major in math?

Or does the "No validation tests are administered during plebe summer" just mean that there are no specific validation tests administered for the engineering courses?

That means you can't validate any engineering classes but you can validate calculus or any of the other classes even if you are an engineering MAJOR the validation tests are for CLASSES
