Hello, my DS is visiting the USCGA for cadet for a day. Does anyone know if an at-home antigen test will be accepted as his COVID test or should the test be performed at a pharmacy/testing center? I'm thinking the latter as they will hopefully provide documentation. I am aware that he can have a PCR test as well. Thank you.

  • Unvaccinated guests: Must show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours, or a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours of arrival. Masks are required at all times.
The above is without reference to the specific program. Vaccinated guests must bring proof of vaccination. Again, without reference to the specific program.

At parents weekend 2 weeks ago an at home self administered test had to be done on site, witnessed, as I understand, by CGA staff (I did not do this) But I believe that the test had to be done at the off site parking site before boarding the bus to the academy. (busing because of the high traffic for parent weekend) I would find out if a self administered test needs to be done on site and witnessed.

Thank you. I'll have him check.
