My DS has a Class of 2025 USNA appointment and just found out through his part time job that he is eligible for the COVID vaccine. Looking for advice if he should take advantage of this opportunity before I day, or wait to see what the Academy wants incoming Plebes to do. He has not yet received his PTR packet yet. Also, would he then have to contact DoDMERB and let them know he received the vaccine? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

I am not sure about the DoDMERB requirements (cannot recall a question pertaining to history of vaccinations/immunizations). However, I believe that the general consensus has been to follow CDC recommendations and get vaccinated if given the opportunity.

I was informed by USMMA to get the vaccine if I have the opportunity. I also have an appointment to USAFA but have not heard any information from them yet regarding the vaccine.
