I did not watch all of last night's State of the Union, but in a segment I did see, I was surprised to see a Congressman with a crayon on his suit jacket. In today's face palm moment, I thought it meant he was a Marine and simply embracing the stereotype.... I am glad to know there was a higher meaning.
In reality - "Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and other Democratic colleagues wore crayon pins to signal support for federal investment in child care."
