True story, during the time that show was on the air - right after I was winged, but before I started the RAG, I was stashed in my hometown recruiting center for a short time (big regional recruiting command), and one of the things I did was assist NROTC applicants with their applications and answer questions. One guy was very sure he wanted to become a JAG officer, in part because of the opportunity to fly (this is TRUE), and he wanted to know if he would go to flight school before or after law school....

Completely emblematic of the current discussion in the country. Non-sequitur followed by non-sequitur. No one listens.
Even the title of the thread. It's not crisis on the border it's a failure of individual Marines and their commanders.

It is not required that you read every post in a thread, before adding to it. I just re-read the forum rules to make sure.
One could choose to read no posts in a thread. This is America.
We aren't here to fix anything - especially some Marines who got arrested for illegally trafficking people across the border for money - because it's hard to fix stupid.
When you can't fix stupid, it's generally okay to make fun of it. That of course, is just my opinion as to why this thread isn't up for a Pulitzer.
Personally, I don't expect much in the way of high brow reporting when I see posts in this or the Off Topic forum. I don't really see a reason for it to be high brow, either.
