The money the class of 2009 paid for their first class year was never used on anything. Hopefully, we will get it back in the form of a check. Not everyone got awesome jobs.
 
username: IMO - if you and your classmates who have graduated get anything back you should donate it to the USMMA foundation to help fund continuation of the programs you, me and all those who have preceded them enjoyed while we were at the Academy.

Of course I doubt anyone with the sentiments you seem to espouse would do such a thing, though if you look around you might note many peers in your generation are looking at college loan debts in excess of $100K, yet you choose to fixate on the use of $6K and seem to be saying somehow you have been and are being given a raw deal.
