Does anyone know if Cadet Command is seeking volunteers to fill their Cadre slots for upcoming CST? That is for those who are going on active eventually, yet didn't volunteer initially for it. Thanks

Best bet would to talk to your cadre. They'll probably know exactly who to contact or point you in the right direction. It's getting pretty late for that now since orders should be out somewhat soon and they've probably done most of the detailing already. Still worth a shot if you want it.

Yes, they are. Last I heard (this morning) they were looking for 14 more 2LTs, 7 of whom had to be females, for assignment at CIET or CLC beginning in May. Your cadre will have the POC.

I heard there is a memo floating around. Would happen to know if this is true or not?

Essentially reporting in May, and leaving for BOLC from Knox at the end of the summer.
And no problem - good luck!

Did it state the time frame that they need these LTs for? Earlier regiments or later? Thanks for this info. My battalion is pretty slow at disseminating information.

If you go you'll be with Task Force Gold and there for most if not all of it. Atleast for CLC.

I see the word volunteer used so is it a no pay position? I know DS mentioned it but I thought he was looking for something with pay till BOLC? But I guess room and board paid is better than rent :)

No, you definitely will be paid. Volunteer refers to the fact that you can volunteer to work at summer training, it is not mandatory.

Thought so but with all the cut backs??????

If you're not being paid, you won't be there as a 2LT, even with the cutbacks. They budget for this stuff and the LT's in Task Force Gold earn their checks (aka they get put to work).

They also won't have a volunteer because if they're not on orders then they aren't subject to UCMJ, covered under medical and all that other jazz that's important.
