Culp assignments are out. DS is headed to Liberia this summer.
DS is headed to Liberia as well...
I think our sons are in the same battalion.
Ds is headed to estonia. Not sure what military unit that is. Guess he will have to brush up on his finnish.
How did you find out?
DS' ROTC unit let him know today. I believe the army portal will tell you as well.
On another note. Does the military ID serve as a passport with orders? Or should we get him a passport? It's been so long since I was overseas I imagine things have changed. Lol last flight I had from Uncle Sam was a smoking flight from manilla, if that dates me.
They will issue a government passport. A civilian passport will not work for CULP, though it's not bad idea to have one.
Smoking flight? Damn, you are old, you might even be a dinosaur, just not as old as I am.
Hehe, wasn't that long ago, maybe 95' man I think everyone from the Philippines smoked on that plane. Thanks for the info, we will let the battalion handle the passport then.
One of the coolest experiences my son had in ROTC....other than going to west Point with the Ranger Challenge team, was going to Guyana for CULP. Check it out...this was made by one of the cadets!!
Just found out I am headed to Turkey!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
I'm pretty sure I'm remembering this correctly, but DS used his personal passport for his CULP mission Summer '14
It all depends on the country. After the dust settles and cadre are assigned to these trips, they'll let their teams know everything that is required (I.e passports, shots, online training, etc.).
I was just notified I am going to Hungary! Extremely excited.
I wouldn't mind going to Hungary. Good for you!!
Has anyone gotten the email confirming you got a CULP slot? I have not gotten mine yet and I was wondering if anyone else has gotten them
Will they email you through your army portal email or enterprise email?
I believe they will email you to whatever email you put down on the application.
Does anyone know what the Gabon mission is like?
