Hello,
This is my first post, but I have looked extensively online and on this forum for the answer to my question but have not found it. I recently broke my clavicle September 2, 2018, the day after I started my West Point application. As such, I had not scheduled or attended my medical exam. I have filled out most of my application and now have the option to schedule my exams. While the vision exam will be no problem, I am wondering what I should do for my medical exam. I have three questions:
1. I read that you can take the physical if you have a minor illness, would a broken clavicle qualify as that?
2. If not, when would be the time to schedule a physical. Once I am cleared by my orthopedist for all activities?
3. Lastly, one of my congressional members has DoDMERB exam taken on his nomination application checklist with a deadline of October 30; will I have to submit a remedial even if I do wait until I am cleared by my orthopedist? If I do, I will focus completely on the other nomination opportunities as I do not expect to take the physical and submit a remedial in time for the October 30 deadline.
Thank you and sorry if a similar question has been submitted elsewhere on this forum regarding current injuries and DoDMERB exams.
