Just reaching out to see if anyone attended the Candidate Visit Weekend with their DS / DD.
It looks like a welcome brief on Thurs at 5:30 and then a full day from 9-4:30 on Friday. What was done during the day on Friday?
Is there a tour of the Academy available?
Is it worth the trip for a parent?

We went, and it is well worth the trip. They keep you busy on Friday and there is a campus tour.

Be prepared to hear the same questions and answers over and over again

I went with my DS back in October. I thought it was well worth the time and expense. He was somewhat nervous about flying alone and getting to Annapolis from BVI. So, traveling with him and dropping him off made the experience better for him too.

If you're active on these forums, you probably won't learn much that completely new. Nonetheless, it's informative and fun. I was impressed by the effort put forth by the admissions staff.

You have a chance to go the regular (public) walking tour with a guide. If you've never visited, that may be worth the entire trip.

And, yes be prepared to have the same questions asked over and over.
