Aprox. how many candidates attend each CVW?
100+/-? (I don't remember exactly when DS went last year) More than a handful, less than NASS.
My daughter was just there last week and she thought there was about 100. Are you another high school junior that is attending? She had a great time.
Yessir, I'm a high school junior for NY. I was surprised they took me, due to the fact that I live semi-close to USNA (4ish hours).
My daughter says to have a great time and don't worry about it. The time goes too quick.
It's not really a competitive thing to get one, if you ask they will give you one because they want kids to know what they're getting into for the most part (besides NASS...). Try to have a good time and learn a lot, it will be your most enlightening experience there.
Go for NASS. It's competitive and you actually have to try and meet goals if you are selected. DS didn't see any participants stressed at CVW. He certainly did at NASS.
I applied for both, (I think you have to apply for NASS to get a CVW).
You can request a CVW individually but they usually send NASS applicants CVW invites. Definitely do both if you can though!
