What CVW means for appointment
There has been a fair amount of discussion on this thread about what an unsolicited offer to attend a CVW means to a junior in terms of how competitive they may look. The speed at which the offers for the CVW came out seem to indicate to me that there may have been one or more simpler criteria that triggered an invite versus what a detailed look at a person's NASS application presented for them as a "whole" candidate. Was it a person's geography? Was it that they indicated they were a recruited athlete candidate? Was it as simple as they were one of the first x00 to apply for NASS?
Or, on the flip side, admissions is just that good and efficient at analyzing the applications and identifying top candidates.
In the end, it doesn't really matter. As is done on this forum, its fun to speculate about the whole process. I would say that after reading posts of those that have been throught it that the best approach is not to read too much into it and use the opportunity in the best way a candidate can.
