If you applied to summer seminar, you will probably be an official candidate if you have good stats. My son got a CVW invite one week after applying to summer sem. He didn't get his NASS acceptance until two months later. Consider yourself lucky. They like what they see. Don't worry if you cannot attend for some reason, as they will never hold that against you in admissions.
Son received a CVW invite after he applied to NASS--didn't go to the CVW--chose USNA sports camp--received appointment, and is a current plebe. If you cannot afford both NASS and CVW it will not hurt your chances of an appointment.
I got the same email todayand am going to CVW April 16-18, 2015. I have not yet heard back about NASS but was concerned since I know some people received acceptances yesterday. The email inviting me to CVW said that it "will not impact my Summer Seminar decision", so I could still get into NASS, too, correct?
The academy also provides financial assistance for those who cannot afford the trip to CVW. Contact your admissions counselor and he/she will definitely help you out! USNA actually flew me out and provided ground transportation from and to the academy.

Hey folks, i recently got invited to NASS but have not been invited to a CVW. Should I be worried about this? Also, will being accepted into NASS make me a qualified candidate for admission?
