Greetings! Just found this forum and it looks good! Not much of a support group out here in the wilds of Montana. Anyone on this forum from Montana? My wife, DS and I just got back from our vacation, driving to see USNA and UNMA (visited USAFA last year). We were impressed by both, and the visits definitely cemented the thought that my DS wants to attend USNA badly! We've started the process, submitted the nomination requests to both senators and our ONE US representative. He qualifies for the Presidential nomination, so that will be submitted as well. Anyways, I can tell it's going to be a wild ride! I'm looking forward to getting ideas for success along the way from the great folks here on this forum!

Welcome to the forums. A lot of great people hear who can generally answer your questions or point you in the right direction. In the meantime read everything you can about the process on the USNA website and the stickies on these forums. Good luck to your DS! :thumb:

Hi DougofMontana!
I'm new to the forums too but I'm in the same boat as you in looking for ideas for success. As kinnem said, read as much as possible on the USNA website. All of the Academy websites are very well setup. It's nice to know a fellow Montanan is on this site!
Good Luck!

Hi DougofMontana!
I saw that someone from Ennis received a couple nominations from Congressman Daines! I assume he's your son? That's outstanding! Wishing you and your family good news from here on out!

Hi DougofMontana,
We are in rural Alaska, also not much support group around here. But I am finding lots of info and support on this forum. If DD gets into USAFA, I am sure that I will be using this forum for continued support and information since we are not a military family-we know/understand so little; but have learned so much already.
