Instantaneous response. The young Roger Moore in “The Saint.” Not for me the teen singer heart throbs in “Tiger Beat.” Oh no, I watched a black and white TV series, entranced by a good-looking, suave, witty Brit in classic clothes and a very cool car, who was, ever so faintly, a bit of a bad boy.

I think “Simon Templar” and “Emma Peel” would have made beautiful children.

I also had a thing for nope, that is quite enough. Okay, it was Christopher George in “Rat Patrol.” I liked his car too.

Your taste in men is as excellent as your taste in food and wine. I hope to meet your husband someday. 😀

Not bad choices!

I was going to guess, depending on your age:

Roger Moore

David McCallum-AKA Illya Kuryakin

Little Joe Cartwright

Hail-fellows one and all!

I found this on art.com, one of the casts of the original TV “Mission Impossible.” (Yes, that is Leonard Nimoy.) I thought Greg Morris was a handsome guy too. I chose this pic because I suspect Lesley Ann Down was a favorite of some.

She was amazing in Game of Thrones. So sharp, so powerful.
I had a crush on Lil Joe Cartwright. But, likely Tom Selleck was my favorite. And there was something about Alan Alda in MASH, too.

@sanman ,

You must be taking great delight in watching these Yanks fawning over your countrymen.

By my count it's Brits 4 to Americans 3. And this is America for crying out loud.

Well....that may be the case but...my early formative years (ages 6-11 1/2) were in the UK. I returned to a country I didn't really know, I dressed "different" and was constantly told, "you talk funny..." by people that sounded like my parents but not like the people I grew up around, went to school with, saw on the telly...

What would you expect?

Jenny Agutter, Dame Rigg, Lulu, Mary Hopkin....and others.

And then I came "home" and the first news was "The Beatles Break Up!"

I actually asked my father if he could get stationed back in England.

Oh, well done to post that. Now I want to watch the entire series again. Campy, as a lot of things were then, but you could tell how smart she was.

I had the same thought. Turns out its available to rent for 1.99 on Prime, Fandango Now, and Vudu. I may sample a few just to get a fix.

EDIT: that cost is per episode.

@Capt MJ So I sprang for Season 4 on Amazon Prime for a mere 9.99. Season 4 seems to be when she joined the cast. She looks as lovely as ever in black & white. Season 5 and 6 they went color. BTW, I noticed Amazon Prime also had (all?) 6 seasons of "The Saint" in case you want to fan those burning embers. :)

I’m gonna have to get me some embers and light ‘em off; they are probably available in bulk on Amazon.
🤣
