DARPA Artificial Intelligence dogfight trials

That's cool. I like how they mention that their AI will "learn" better skills as they progress through more scenarios. I can imagine the fighter jocks standing in line, wanting to "fight" these intelligent AI agents. The first human that loses to one of these agents however, will never hear the end of it from their peers.

For Asimov fans:
The Three Laws of Robotics:

First Law
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Second Law
A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Third Law
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.

We were cheering on the AI competitors all day today on a second monitor. I would watch one AI pilot get into a good attack position and found myself yelling "go! go! go! Just a little bit more.... Got him - YES!" Tomorrow, the top-4 fight it out for a chance to go against a human weapons school instructor pilot.

That was fascinating. Thanks for posting.
