According to the "Instructions for Applicants Offered Admission," incoming cadet candidates are to hand carry the DD93 and SGLI forms on R-day. The forms have a box entitled "date signed" which is auto-filled with 6/29/2020 (R-day). Should I wait to sign these, or does it not matter? Thanks in advance.

You read my mind-- was just filling these out a couple minutes ago... I concluded that they should be done now, it's not worth forgetting on R-day...
Edit: wrong, don't listen to this advice

It says to wait to sign in the Instructions for Candidates on the portal. Just fill it out, print it, and bring it unsigned.

SORRY! Just read this on the appointed candidate instructions: DON'T sign the DD Form 93 or SGLI until told to do so on R-Day.

the instructions on the DD93 state:
-sign the form in Block 15..Signature of Service Member/Civilian and then turn into your USCCS1 (or bring it with you on R Day)
-DO NOT HAVE ANYONE SIGN THE WITNESS BOX

Same for the SGLI
These instructions are on the Printing Instruction page before you print it. I have never been to R Day, but my guess it needs to be signed prior if these instructions are correct....

It says specifically in the Instructions for Candidates Offered Admission packet that one should NOT sign the SGLI or DD93 until told to do so on R-day.
Not to mention the date next to the signature box for these two documents in 6/29/2020 ;)

Does anyone know how SGLI is paid for? I researched, and it costs about $25 per month for full 400K coverage. Will this $25 be cut from my monthly cadet pay?

It’s a deduction in pay, but you will have options as to how much, and opting in or out.

PLEASE BRING SIGNED COPY OF THIS ON RDAY. FOR QUESTIONS CALL: at (845)938-8688/3505

On Candidate Portal after these are complete.....
