Deadline?

When is the actual deadline for the application to the USAFA? On my online application, I just got a letter saying

In order to be considered for an appointment, you must complete the following forms by January 31, 2012.

USAFA Form 146 - Air Force Academy Candidate Personal Data Record
USAFA Form 147 - Air Force Academy Candidate Activities Record
USAFA Form 0-158 - USAF Academy Candidate Fitness Assessment
AF Form 2030 - USAF Drug and Alcohol Abuse Statement
USAFA Form 0-501 - Drug and Alcohol Use Circumstances (will only appear if required)
USAFA Form O-878 - USAF Academy Candidate Writing Sample

I thought it was Dec 31st?

Please help me figure this out!

Never mind, I figured it out!

Dec 31st is the PCQ Deadline to start the admission process. Once you've submitted it, the papers on the app are due on Jan 31st.

My son received the same email. He has already completed the forms, and was just notified that he has received a nomination to both USAFA and USMA. Is there anything else he should do, or do we just wait?

If he's done with everything, then it's waiting time. I got the same message in my email today and I only have the CFA to do (Taking it tomorrow). I also got a postcard in the mail today saying that I was now an official candidate because I had a nomination.
