Appointees' deadline, I think, is 1 May to accept or decline. Appointments, however, can still go out after 15 Apr into May, or even June from what I've heard. So the magic date is 4/15? Did I read somewhere that appointments hear by 3/31?
Okay, thanks. My son was on the waitlist last year -- found out on April 3. The closer we get to that date, the less hope we have.USNA commits to notifying all applicants as to status NLT April 15. Most years, notifications are complete at least a few days earlier. While most appointments are offered prior to March 31, appointment definitely can and do go out through April 15. After that, the only ones with a chance to be appointed are those on the Wait List who indicate they still want to be considered for an appointment.
Those appointed by April 15 have until May 1 to accept or decline.
