Son received an email from USNA admissions office today stating the PTR packet would be mailed out later than expected due to "unforeseen" printing delays. Should receive your PTR by May 15, 2008.

Thanks for the info...saves a call to that busy lady!

Below is the e-mail for those who did not receive it...I almost deleted it - anyways....

"Dear Prospective Midshipman,

We are pleased to extend our congratulations to you on your acceptance
of our offer to join the Brigade of Midshipmen at the United States
Naval Academy. You can look forward to many rewarding experiences and
exceptional opportunities throughout your fours years of study at the
Academy, and ultimately as an officer in the Navy or Marine Corps,
serving our great Nation. We enthusiastically await your arrival on
Induction Day, scheduled for July 2, 2008.

Due to unplanned and unforeseen printing delays, the Permit to Report
Packet will be mailed out later than anticipated. You should receive
the packet by May 15, 2008. Given the delay in delivery, please note
that the deadline for the medical forms will be extended to May 30,
2008.

When you receive the packet, please fax or email your transportation
request form as soon as possible to the number indicated on the form.

If you have any questions, please contact your Regional Director, whose
email address is listed below.

We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience it may cause. We look
forward to welcoming you to Annapolis in July.

Sincerely,

The Admissions Team"

1)Can someone please tell me about what the "medical form" is requiring .....I was told on an earlier thread that no more medical appt.s were needed w/ the PTR.

2) Also explain the transport request form..........does a prospective Mid get re-imbursed for commercial transport to I-day ?

Thanks,
