Debut...finally?

I really hate that they let him (and Cardona) go to the NFL. I get it, he can "do more" for the Navy as a football player than as an IW Officer, blah blah, but to me it cheapens the Academy. Also, I doubt a long snapper and a dude who hasn't even played yet are really bringing in recruits.
Reynolds seems like he's not a bad guy, but I kind of saw the writing on the wall when he mentioned in interviews he'd switched his desired service selection from pilot to IW. I'm largely okay with the concessions USNA makes for varsity athletes because at the end of the day we all end up in the same place and they make plenty of sacrifices NARPS dont. It just cheapens the deal when, with regards to the one thing that is supposed to be the common denominator for all Mids, there's a convenient out.

Yes, that's a pretty annoying factor to the folks at USMA as well. By all accounts Trent Steelman was not a good example of a future officer and instead became a Reynolds-style pine rider in the league. Ali Villanueva is a much better example of how we should want to see it play out.

Also, you only have 136 likes! Don't let Murf see that!

Did Trent even make a team? I didn't think he did.

Let's cut out the personal stuff folks. I see the jabs everywhere.
