DECA

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of DECA, and if they think that the Academies know about it. It is an international business club.

I will be attending Nationals for the 2nd time this week (Disneyland in CA!!!), so I wasn't sure if anyone else on here was in DECA and will be going to Nationals; or if anyone knows anything about DECA in general.

I have been a member of DECA all 3 years of high school so far, and an Officer (Reporter, then Vice President of Competitions - current) for 2. I plan on being President of my chapter next year (usually over 80-120 kids in the club each year). So I think/hope this would look good as a leadership opportunity for applying to an Academy in the fall.

Im in DECA

sorry its like my love

It was my first year this year
and I got like 10 in state and top 9 go to nationals i was so bummed
my school got smoked in state
we went 2 for 36 with the only two peope qualifying through the stock market game

I'm from IL, top 3 go to Nationals.

I placed 2nd in Entrepreneurship Participating Franchise Written Event, and 4th out of 37 for Quick Serve Restaurant Management. Qualified for both and will be competiting in Entrepreneurship Franchise Event at Nationals.

My school took 43 out of 56 people who competed at Area to State, and 25 of 43 qualified for Nationals at State. ... I am the only one from my school going though - only non-senior who qualified; it's prom weekend so seniors are going to prom instead of Nationals.

petermcd123, are you involved in any leadership positions in DECA? Are you a junior or senior this year?

were both sophmores and shes gonna be pres
but i didnt run becuase im gonna be a foriegn exchange student next year so i cant have a position i woulda be vp
