December Grad Question

If a cadet is a December grad (due to injury) when do they branch? Do they lose a whole semester and branch with their class or is it a case by case decision? Thanks for any input.

Me too! However, there is a WP Moms page for December grads (and others). You might wish to join and ask there.
Also, it is a GREAT graduation event--without the crowds--and you can still attend all of the graduation activity in May if you are so inclined to share that week with your cadet. (You can do it without lugging the full entourage--and just enjoy yourself.)

I definitely see the benefits of a more intimate ceremony! I am wondering about the class rank and branching choices... have you been able to get any information on that?

Ours too. Thanks for the question.

Hi! Have you been able to acquire any information!
Sorry Reese. We are still discovering as we go. The injury required surgery and the Academic and Military programs are still being established. There will be a Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA) but there is a possibility that not all class time that is missed will be wasted or down time. I will let you know more as time passes. Best.
You will be well advised by DrMom.

Good Afternoon. The consensus is that people who know early in the game still branch and post along with the rest of the class. However, I think it will be a journey of discovery for our cadets. Best wishes to your injured fellow...prayers for a rapid and complete recovery.

Will be interesting to hear what happens. I have heard that August grads branch with class but December grads may not due to crossing fiscal years. My source is very unofficial so take it for what it’s worth.
