Finally declared for real to Norwich U. just 14 more school days, then the summer... Feels good.
Anyways, down to it. I hear the Corps "issues" you 2 full sets of ACUs. To all the students and service people out here, do you think the 2 will be sufficient? Because the stuff isn't cheap at all and I'd like o be able to get 2 sets of boots (with my favorite brand being Danner, that is a high order) as well as as many sets of utilities as I need. Any thoughts?
Also, what kind of and how many field exercises would a Marine Option midshipman do there in the first year, including any corps exercises that may happen. And does anyone have any info on the Semper Fidelis Society there as a whole? what kind of things do they do and teach, bcause i can't find diddly about them online aside from "They are at Norwich..."

So there's my laundry list of questions right now, feel free to answer them piecemeal haha.

2 ACU's will do you just fine for your rook year. All USMC/Navy Midshipman have two field training exercises a year, one for the fall and one for the spring semester.

Hey man, congratulations! Good luck... Norwich is a good school.

Hey I'll see you up at Norwich. Summer to Rook Week.

Looking forward to it. I hear that Rook week is pretty much the only field stuff you do as a Corps, so I'm going to have to enjoy it while it lasts lol. But I will have Semper Fi and Rock Climbing Club to statisfy me through the rest of the year.
So no word on the goings-on in Semper Fi? Or what exactly the USMC Field exercises entail?

As far as I know,

the field stuff you do during the Rook week is only the

"Tryout Version" of the whole field excercises...

If don't like it, you don't do further participation unless ROTC activities...

If you like it, you sign up to do more for your satisfaction and acheivement...

See you in first day, man.

We should do a "Service Academy forums luncheon" or something.
