Desire to serve

If I were to be accepted into Baylor for the program, would I have to go through DoDMERB? Would hate to do the program and then be dqed later
Everyone goes through an accession physical coming into the military, whether DoDMERB, MEPS, or other, and a standard is applied. What your research should pinpoint is the service and field with the most flexible waiver policies with regard to a DQ related to your condition.

I hate to give advice on something I read months ago.

Baylor may indeed have a PT program tha has nothing to do with this Baylor—Army program.

But as I understand it the Army PT program at Baylor is similar to ROTC Nursing. And as far as I could tell the only program of its kind for PT In the US

Would they accept someone into this very highly competitive program who could not be commissioned into the Army after graduation——I can’t believe they would. It just would make no sense to do so

As I understand it other services get a few slots at Baylor but it’s mostly for the Army.

let’s hope someone with first hand experience will come along.

Now a question——is it the work you want or the uniform you want?

If it’s the work then working at the VA as a civilian PT or similar should be something you would consider or work toward. I can’t but believe that so many of our vets need that kind of PT help.

The VA is not so much an option if the issue is not the work but the uniform.

Hopeful future cadet = Capt MJ is 101% correct...period...no exceptions...none.

There's only one guarantee..... If you do not apply....you will not receive a medical waiver. You will be DQd by both DoDMERB and MEPS and will require a medical waiver. ⛑️🙏
