Did I make a mistake, a small error, or do I have nothing to worry about

I am a 3 year AROTC scholarship winner. I just finished filling out the DODMERB. I thought everything on it was 100% until after I signed it a realized I may have made a mistake. I do not have asthma nor have I ever been dignosed however after signing it I remembered I was prescribed an inhaler 2 years ago. I never used the inhaler and on it it says use as needed. I believe the doctor may have prescribed me one for wheezing or something because I may have been sick. What should I do? I have not had my medical examination yet so can I call the people in charge of DODMERB and ask if I can fix the error? Is it even worth mentioning? If so what box would I click? What should I do next?

If there were questions about prescriptions then you could include it but I don't think there are questions like that... just diagnosis. Wheezing is not a diagnosis.

You are overthinking this. If you need to update anything you can update the examining physician.

be very careful with this one, you could very well be dq'd for history of asthma if you tell them you had an inhaler recently. you should review your records first, and see why it was prescribed in the first place, and if there is any record of wheezing, shortness of breath (dyspnea), or anything like that. if not, you are probably fine. but if it's there, you need to decide whether to disclose it.

one of the questions on the form asks if you've ever had shortness of breath, or wheezing (asthma is asked in a different question). if you answer yes, you will be given the asthma questionnaire and asked for all your records. if you say you've had wheezing, and your records say that you had wheezing and were prescribed an inhaler in the past 2 years, there is a real chance you will be dq'd for asthma. you don't necessarily have to have an actual asthma diagnosis in your record.

you can certainly get it waived if you don't actually have asthma, but do a quick search as see how difficult it can be.

a word of advice - it's best not to say 'i had an inhaler but never used it', or 'i was prescribed an inhaler as a precaution, but i didn't have asthma'. if you tell them you had it, they will assume it was prescribed for a reason and that you used it

Just found the records for it. I got it for a cough. The diagnosis was coughing. I should be good now right?
