As y'all may know, I was rejected from USMA (DQ'd for asthma) and not considered for a waiver because I wasn't high enough on the list.

So my AROTC battalion got a hold of my DoDMERB physical, and I had to do some remedial saying I didn't have covid and hadn't had any serious injuries since I took my exam.

I turned them in. They said it would take 15 days or so before I received any correspondence.

Got a letter today marking my status as "qualified."

...

But wouldn't my file still have a DQ on it? Don't I need a waiver?

Hey look if I'm qualified I'm not gonna question it, just wanna make sure this won't come bite me in the butt in a few days/weeks.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Certainly a step in the right direction. You need to serve as an officer my friend. To bad it doesn't look like it will be in the Corps, but no matter. Hopefully Mr Mullen can allay any lingering concerns.
