I expect to see the U.S. Coast Guard in a movie called The Guardian, and I knew it would be in Yours, Mine, and Ours. I appreciated the Coast Guard in The Perfect Storm and Bad Boys II. Heck, I was a little surprised to see it in Captain Ron.

Where I didn't expect to see it....the movie I caught today....

X-Men: First Class.

And I have to say, the Coast Guard is mutant friendly....come on Navy, get with the program.

Good movie, check it out.

Well, they didn't all die, so that's better!

For what it's worth, our part in Battle: LA did not involve any consultation with the Coast Guard Motion Picture Office (MOPIC). The Marine Corps' office did not think to mention it to the commander at MOPIC....needless to say, MOPIC was not happy.
