I am curious as to whether rules exist to using digital devices (such as a tablet and pen) for hand writing notes in classes digitally.

Thank you, I understand that. My question stems rather from an inquiry into whether a tablet and pen will be seen as an acceptable substitute for pen-and-paper note taking.
