I am not sure the answer to your question and I think there is probably a lot of latitude in the decision they make and why. Are you coming home immediately from your semester abroad?

I am returning home once the semester ends in December. I would owe about $7k in scholarship & stipend $$ if that makes any difference...

Hey everyone

Since I read your initial post before it was edited, you may look into what we used to call "humanitarian causes" for leaving. This may at least keep you from having to enlist, just pay back $$'s.
