Will being Asian American and the first generation to attend college impact appointment decisions?

Being an Asian American will not help you. To admissions and statistics Asian Americans don’t classify numbers wise as a minority. That is what I was told by my RC in relation to diversity and appointments

Yes that’s right. Asians are not minority in American colleges and socioeconomically. In fact average Asians have the highest earnings average in America. But first generation college and low income family can give you a little attention. Although Asians are fewer by population in America, Asians are a majority at top US colleges when evaluated by proportional representation to national population. Asians have simply become integrated with the white majority in socioeconomic and educational standing. Nevertheless, job opportunities in senior leadership Asians still are minorities. But that would be later in your career to explore and contest. Sorry you may not use the Asian card to Academies and other top 1-30 US Colleges. In fact Asians by perception are expected to have higher test scores and GPA because they do. You can see this trend for example on Harvard College Student Website.

You have a year to prep so good luck and prepare diligently!

Assume you already know this so what is your question??

Goarmy2023 asked if Asian American first generation college bound can help in Admissions decision and Appointment. The responses are no being an Asian American doesn’t give you special look but first generation college bound can.
