Do admissions take your highest ACT essay or your most recent?

Because I've decided to take the ACT instead of the SAT, I understand that it is imperative I take the writing section with the rest of the regular ACT. I consider myself a pretty good writer so I figured if I focused on studying and perfecting the essay part I could retake the actual ACT at another point. However, I don't know if West Point would accept that so I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried this before and succeeded?

Super scoring. USMA super scores— accepts the highest score from different tests. It’s to your advantage to take the test at a minimum of 3x to get the best scores.
