Letters seem to have gone out to those who applied for a Vice Presidential Nom. A bit too early for the real TWE, so do not panic if you see one in your mailbox.

Got the that envelope today. DS doesn't get home from work till later. We don't open his mail, so it was a heart stopper for a sec! Then, I remembered DS already has accepted his appointment.

No it's a notification that they know you applied.

It DID bring us to our knees! I reluctantly delivered the unopened envelope to my daughter - she took one look at it and said, "Is this the end, then?" When she opened it, we were SO relieved!

So basically, it is a letter acknowledging that she requested a nomination from VP Biden (like I'm sure we were all told to do - seek a nomination from EVERY source), and to not send Biden any additional paperwork. It does not indicate that she has received or not received the nomination.

I would assume that the VP nomination is reserved for someone the USNA wants to appoint very badly but for some reason did not receive a nomination from another source?
