Do waivers always request additional info?

I'm currently waiting for the waiver from USAFA and have been since November of last year. My DQ is because of a one-time allergy to shellfish many years ago. However, I doubt the academy or air force serves shellfish in their meals (or maybe they do and I'm wrong). If USAFA does request a waiver, do they always ask for additional paperwork or tests from my doctor or hospital? Or do they request a waiver and the medical side of my application is complete?

Each case is different and is based on the DQ, the candidate, and the needs of the military.

Q = If USAFA does request a waiver, do they always ask for additional paperwork or tests from my doctor or hospital?
A = No

Q = Or do they request a waiver and the medical side of my application is complete?
A = The medical waiver authority evaluates your case and then ultimately decides waiver granted/denied :wiggle:
