I’ve met some great people here. People I consider to be friends. I think I’ve run out of things to say except to say, so long. My apologies to the members I have had private conversations with these past three years. I would have given you a heads up except I would have felt obligated to answer your return message and in a couple minutes, I’m going to log off.

I need to concentrate on getting ready for the school year plus I have a project I’m hoping to get wrapped up soon and then start another one. And as always, I’m maximizing my time with the grandsons. I’ve spent way too much time here in the past three years. I don’t even have a dog in the hunt. I sometimes feel like a lone man at a playground. Wondering how I got here and why am I staying. I also informed a few members that I applied for the BGO program. I have reconsidered and asked USNA admissions to withdraw my application. Thanks to those who advised and encouraged me on that matter.

I should have faded off into the sunset but didn’t want anybody wondering what happened.

My very best to you, sir. From the day I found this forum, I looked forward to your inputs on ANY thread, here. The vast majority were equal parts sound advice and cutting humor. I will miss that.

I hope you don”t sign out before giving us all a chance to chime in and for you to read our comments.

IMHO, you are just exactly what this community of high achieving masters of the universe and their adoring parents need. This especially applies to those of us who never served and have needed to learn a thing or two about the tens of thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines who are not officers.

It’s guys (and I’ll say guys) like you who got my Army O-3 where he is today—and that’s a good place.
