My son received the letter with information about his DoDMERB. It says to schedule the audiologist and eye exam first. Will he be allowed to do all three on the same day, if scheduling permits? The location is about an hour away in a congested city with little parking. He will likely need to miss a day of school to go.

DS did all of his in 1 day. The appointments were in 2 different locations about 45 minutes away and his audiologist was with his physical exam. Each location was 20-25 minutes from each other. You should allow for travel time and plan on being there 1/2 hour early at each location for any additional paperwork. Even though you do the DODMERB paperwork, our visits were to a 3rd party contracted to the DODMERB for the work. Thus, they have their own paperwork, HIPA paperwork, etc. If DS is not yet 18, you need to be there to sign all of the paperwork as well for authorizations. Don't forget to bring copies of the DODMERB paperwork you fill out online as well. You'll have to have one for the physical portion for their records. So, we did one visit mid-morning and one after lunch and were completed in about 1/2 - 3/4 of a day with travel. Good luck!

Thanks! That is so helpful!

DS completed all in one day. We used the documentation for a same day doctor visit so the appointments did not count against his attendance.
